DuesTrail Privacy Policy

Version 1.0.0 has no ads. The advertising section below applies to version 1.1.0 and later.

Information stored on your device

DuesTrail stores the customer names, references, amounts, due dates, notes, payment history, follow-up dates and business name that you enter in the app's private local storage. It does not require an account and does not send these records to the developer.

Advertising in version 1.1.0 and later

DuesTrail is free with no customer-count purchase limit. Google AdMob banner ads support the app. Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform may collect and share IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, device and advertising identifiers, app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Customer names, balances, notes and payment records are not provided to the ads SDK. We do not request contacts or location permissions, collect bank credentials or card details, or process payments.

Ad requests depend on applicable consent and device settings. Use Advertising privacy choices in the app settings to revisit the consent choices available for your region. Tracking and exports remain usable if you decline optional consent, are offline or no ad is available. Google determines retention and deletion of advertising data under its Privacy Policy. Android settings provide advertising ID controls. Version 1.0.0 has no advertising SDK or internet permission.

Sharing and exported files

You can choose to copy or share reminder text with another app, export JSON backups and CSV reports, or print/save statements. Those actions may disclose your chosen information to recipients, applications or storage providers that you select. Their own privacy practices apply. Exported files are not encrypted by DuesTrail.

Retention and deletion

Records remain on your device until you replace them through backup restoration, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Archiving a record does not delete it. You can delete all local records through Android Settings → Apps → DuesTrail → Storage → Clear storage. Delete exported copies separately from the location where you saved them.

Backups and security

DuesTrail uses app-private storage and atomic file writes. Android cloud backup and automatic device transfer are excluded for the app's data. Export a JSON backup regularly and keep it privately. Device loss, uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage can permanently remove records that are not backed up. Use a device screen lock to protect access.

Children

DuesTrail is designed for adult business users and is not directed at children.
